Despite it being reasonably priced and owning prevoius releases of the DVD (+ a few on VHS), I'll wait for Blu-rays (and when Blu-ray players drop to <$100 and are made by more consumer-friendly manufacturers, ie. no-name Chinese brands) of these or until these DVDs are priced at $5.00. Just found out about these releases today. You have to remember DVD wasn't adopted immediately and of course DVD is outselling Blu-ray at the moment, but as prices drop on players and more and more classics begin seeing Blu-ray releases things are going to change. I am not sure what kind of system you are running, but I am using a simple PS3 and updates take about 3-5 minutes, hardly a hassle and I have yet to see a DVD release live up to the Blu-ray release in terms of sound and picture. @RR Robert: You are talking about new technology hassles. It's a niche product that is nowhere near the level of sales to DVDs. The Bluray machine and DVD is far too costly, and the machine needs to get upgraded occasionally. It's nothing but a hassle.
