The one thing the Academy does right is that it supplies the press with images from its telecast so we don't have to depend on outside sources for images. This is why I have images on RopeofSilicon from the past eight Oscar ceremonies and have now made it nine as the 2008 Oscars is now our officially largest Oscar gallery in the database with 129 images from last night's red carpet, the telecast and even a few backstage photos of the winners with their hardware.
