Oscars Turn the Corner: Rob Pattinson Confirmed as a Presenter
What's next?

Gregory Ellwood at HitFix is reporting that the Twilight star Robert Pattinson will be presenting at the 2009 Oscar awards this Sunday, February 22.
The fact this news "leaked" online is not at all surprising as news of a new Judd Apatow short, exclusive new footage from such Warner Bros. films as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Terminator Salvation and now an appearance by tween girl sensation Robert Pattinson is sure to help boost the number of eyes watching the show. Of course the Academy still needs to figure out a last second way of reaching out to the scorned fanboy community that refuses to watch since The Dark Knight wasn't nominated for a Best Picture.
This year's Oscars is going to be an interesting watch as all of this experimentation could certainly bring in new viewers, but I am sure it will tend to drag for many of these Oscar-virgin eyes as awards are handed out to films many of them have never heard of as they wait breathless for the appearance of Edward Cullen or for a peek at :15 seconds of Harry Potter.
I'll be here live-blogging the event so be sure to join us this coming Sunday.
