Oscar Update: Universal Previews Oscar Contenders

Universal Pictures preps us for what to expect

Universal Pictures: “For Your Consideration”

Universal Pictures has also opened their 2008 For Your Consideration website and with it we see Frost/Nixon, Changeling, Flash of Genius, Mamma Mia! and Tale of Despereaux will be the five films at the center of their campaign.

The site doesn’t offer a ton at the moment, but it does currently feature four tracks of Hans Zimmer’s score from Frost/Nixon, four tracks from Clint Eastwood’s much talked about Changeling score and four tracks from the Mamma Mia! score. The site also promises online versions of the screenplays for Frost/Nixon, Changeling, Flash of Genius and Tale of Despereaux soon.

There isn’t a whole lot more to say for the moment, but you can visit the site and listen to the early score tracks right here. I will be sure to keep you updated as things progress and as the studios continue to open their consideration websites.
