The Only Way to Get People to See a Jessica Alba Movie is…

...put her in the shower

Lionsgate is not going to be screening The Eye, and I can only thank the stars for that. Just imagine having to watch Jessica Alba suffer through a film, trying to act and severely failing yet again. We watched her try to act in such movies as Fantastic Four, Sin City, Into the Blue and Good Luck Chuck and each and every time you were almost embarrassed for her. It is too bad, but it is the truth.

Then I read over at Fantasy Moguls the following:

… Jessica Alba, for all her … uh, strengths, is not at that point in her career where she is taken seriously as a dramatic actor. I mean, pretty much every film she’s appeared in that DIDN’T showcase her in a bikini, a stripper’s outfit or skintight spandex has pretty much failed to draw a crowd (and sometimes, even then) …

Wait a sec! You mean people aren’t even interested in her in skimpy clothes anymore? Despite being one of the worst films I have ever seen Good Luck Chuck did manage to make $35 million at the box, which doubled Into the Blue’s $18 million. So that is at least a little something.

However, with The Eye, it looks like they are giving away their only selling point from the git-go. Check it out below as Jess steps into the shower in a scene that, fortunately for her, requires no dialogue.

I already saw the original version. So no need to see this one, especially with Jessica Alba.

Wasn’t the original great? I don’t know why they would even try to remake the original film, and like you said, especially with Jessica Alba.

Yes, it was really good and by looking at the trailer it seems like they are adding monster looking ghosts. :-/
