Dirty Harry rules with a little Rescue Me and plenty of Blu-ray

It's Dirty Harry in fully restored glory. Now, the box art I have chosen to show you here is for the Ultimate Collector's Edition, which is available in Blu-ray and DVD, but you can also buy Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, The Enforcer, Sudden Impact and The Dead Pool separately. Personally I would determine it based on your interest level as to whether or not you are going to buy the complete collection. I think Dirty Harry and Magnum Force are the two must buys in this collection and I think you can make a case for The Enforcer. However, I think I could do without watching The Dead Pool again and Sudden Impact can hardly be called a movie. It's up to you. Clicking on the Buy Now link will perform a search at Amazon for you go to with as you choose. You can also read my review of the Ultimate Collector's Edition right here to get more of my opinion on the whole thing. BUY IT AT AMAZON
I really like this show, but the fourth season wasn't as good as the previous (my review here). The show continues to realize how crazy it is, but it begins to make fun of itself to the point that it is getting a little ridiculous. It remains better than 99% of the shit on TV, so I guess that is saying something. BUY IT AT AMAZON
This is supposed to be good I think, but I haven't seen it and am not going to make the effort unless they force me. Shhhh… someone's at the door. BUY IT AT AMAZON
Gotta love that Magnolia Films don'tcha. What, do those guys just have buckets of money to throw around that they don't even try and market a film starring Michael Caine and Demi Moore? Then again, from what I understand the DVD market can attest for upwards of 70% of the revenue most films make so I guess it doesn't really matter what they do in the theater. For Flawless it's hard to tell if it will be able to best its $1.1 million at the box-office. Hard to reach that number from the bargain bin. BUY IT AT AMAZON
Don't buy this Jessica Alba remake of the original film. Instead show the studios that you have taste and CLICK HERE to buy the original. While I didn't see the Alba version I am going to guess by the fact that it stars Jessica Alba and has a 19% rating at RottenTomatoes that is definitely far worse than the Pang brothers' original, which I have seen and enjoyed very much. Talk about a forgotten film. Yowsers, and I didn't think it was half bad. BUY IT AT AMAZON
This movie will make for a decent rental, but definitely don't buy it. BUY IT AT AMAZON
I am previewing There Will Be Blood above, but there are several Blu-ray releases hitting today that you may be interested in. I watched The Recruit a few nights ago with Al Pacino and Colin Farrell (decent). I watched There Will Be Blood again last night and I am actually now convinced that Paul and Eli are one person with Paul being an alter-ego and I have several factors that I base this on and I may give them to you later after I watch the film again. Also releasing is Cloverfield and M. Night Shyamalan's Signs (getting to that one next week).

Click on any of the tiles in for more information on these titles.

Oh, and if you get The Recruit, at about the 37 minute mark (after Colin gets done punching the punching bag) listen close and you can hear director Roger Donaldson yell, "CUT!" just before it cuts to the next scene. Fun movie mess up fact. Yay!

Did The Eye go straight to DVD? I'll chuckle a little if it did.

Wow. I can't believe I wasn't aware of it. I suppose it's still funny…
