In Bruges and Definitely, Maybe... put them in your cart RIGHT NOW!

Here is your MUST BUY for this week, or this year for that matter. In Bruges is my favorite film of 2008 so far and it may end up close to the top if not #1 by the time January 2009 rolls around. This film is funny, dramatic, emotional and has a fair share of action. Colin Farrell gives arguably his best performance ever and I can’t wait to watch it over, and over, and over, and over… BUY IT AT AMAZON
In Bruges is the definite must buy, but Definitely, Maybe is one that a lot of people should also consider adding to their shopping carts. I recently reviewed this DVD and will direct you over there for the rest of my opinion. BUY IT AT AMAZON
I have not yet watched this movie, but Domenic just reviewed it and seems to be a bit mixed. He thinks it’s a no-brainer for the kiddies, but most older auds will be unimpressed. Sounds like a rental to me. BUY IT AT AMAZON
This movie bored me. Most critics loved it and thought it was so great and blah, blah, blah… Domenic just received his review copy so we will have to wait for a second opinion here at RopeofSilicon for just a little while. For now, I would say hold off, and if you are up for it check out my theatrical review. BUY IT AT AMAZON
I am on Warners’ instant mailing list for their Blu-ray copies and I betcha I see this one in my mail box tomorrow or the day after. I have not yet seen it as I had to go see something else the same night it was screening. It looks pretty shitty, but who knows, maybe at home and in the right environment it could be fun. You’d have to have grown up on a farm and been retarded to not buy In Bruges.
