'Dark Knight' anyone?

The Dark Knight
Is there any question what everyone is going to buy this week? I would say the only question will be how many units are going to be sold and at what time will Warner Bros. release a press statement saying The Dark Knight is the best selling Blu-ray and DVD of 2008? Speaking of the Blu-ray, if you haven't done so already you can read my review here, or I can just tell you the picture is phenomenal and the features are not. You are buying this one for the movie though, so enjoy.

Lost – The Complete Fourth Season
Ugh, I just added my Blu-ray review for the fourth season of "Lost" and it is beginning to look more and more like this will either be a TV series to love in its entirety or to absolutely loathe because they strung us along so long and then failed to deliver in the end. I am praying their ending is original and highly entertaining, because at this point, with this much mystery they have certainly built it up enough that they may suffer from extreme stress over the ultimate finale. Here's to hoping for the best.

Man on Wire
The best reviewed movie of all-time according to RottenTomatoes hits DVD today and I would venture a guess that 50% of you have never heard of it. You can read my theatrical review of the film here for a taste and while I don't ever recommend people buy documentaries because they are pretty much good for only one viewing, I certainly think you should give this one a rent.

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!
20th Century Fox had a dismal 2008 no matter how The Day the Earth Stood Still and Marley and Me do this December. However, one bright spot was the animated Horton Hears a Who and for the most part this is an entertaining film, at least for a one time watch. The kids are sure to enjoy it more than once so if you have any rugrats running around you may want to pick this up to dull their senses.

I Am Legend (Ultimate Collector's Edition)
David should be coming soon with a full review of this one, but for now I can tell you the box set has a bunch of stuff in it. Nice description eh? Nah, I won't leave you at that, click on the box art for the full description of its contents.

Sex and the City: The Movie (The Wedding Collection)
Speaking of a bunch of stuff, this bad boy comes with a frickin' hardcover book. Just what the hell was so special about this movie that it has to be included and protected by a hardcover book? That's right, I didn't like this movie and I am sure the people reading my opinion for the first time will say it's because I am a male, but the rest of you just realize it's my actual opinion. To each their own.
