Oliver Stone Talks ‘W.’ with Bill Maher

If you are interested it's not boring...

Kris Tapley at In Contention comes close to hitting it on the head when he said, “Oliver Stone is a terrible television interview.” The only thing I would change is the “television” exclusivity and make it an overall generalization. The problem with Stone is that he knows so much about the subjects he is interviewed on that he can just talk and talk and he has very little inflection in his voice. Therefore, it’s just one long monotone run on sentence.

However, there is one caveat. When Oliver Stone is talking about something you are interested in it is far from terrible, which means like Tapley I find his interview with Bill Maher concerning his new film W. (10/17) quite interesting.

I agree with Kris, I caught him on Colbert last week and he kept making what I hope and assume were sarcastic jokes about how good a job Bush has done, but I whole-heartily admit that there were moments where I was like "I think this guy is being f**king serious, WTF!??"
