The Official ‘Robert Pattinson is God’ Wallpaper

Take it. Love it. Enjoy it. Worship it.

When I posted my article earlier today asking “Who’s the Next Big Male Movie Star?” there was an outcry by Robert Pattison (a.k.a. Edward Cullen) fans proclaiming he was certainly the next big thing.

Their outcry came as a shock, considering I did add him to the list, but I felt it was impossible to judge Pattinson against mere mortals. The problem here is that I don’t consider Pattinson an actor… I consider him a GOD! I mean, would someone rate God?

To show my obedience to Pattinson and his loyal fans I give you the official “Robert Pattinson is God” wallpaper. Click on the image below for the God-sized version!

Funny. You need the ten step Rob programme. Next up go watch him in How to be and Little Ashes when it comes out. You’ll have an idea of how good he is when the trailer for Little Ashes comes out mid october.

It takes a big man to admit satirical defeat.

Anyway I get the feeling you dont admire any of the actors coming through. Your comments about all of them seem muted. Time will tell but I feel very confident in saying Rob will be at the top very soon indeed.

I applaud your good sense, and ability to passionately shmooze your readership into a frenzy. Excellent!

Nice to see someone step back and professionally run their fingers through their hair, shrug their shoulders and say "Oh, all right. Here!"

I wouldn’t worry too much about forgetting this supposed ‘god’. They’ll toss him aside once the Twilight craze subsides, just as they’ve done with tons of other guys they’ve cried are ‘the next big thing’.

I’m sure I’ll get insulted from every direction for this comment, but please, stop worshipping the guy. He’s hasn’t earned the pedestal you girls put him on even if has done ‘other work’ in some no-name indie films.

Thank you for the poor photoshopped wallpaper.

Actually no sweat - Pattinson fans werent taking the list seriously anyway. Anyone who has the guy from Pushing Up Daisies, a child of 12 and Michael Cera on his top list of actors doesnt exactly have his finger on the pulse anyway. But Pattinson fans are extremely good at using any opportunity to get him some press so thanks.

Are you guy’s serious??? C’mon I don’t have anything against the guy, but really???
Why don’t you guy’s at least wait until the movie comes out and then see if you absolutely cherish and worship his ACTING skills.

honestly, this is all a bit ridiculous. he is attractive and all and i’m sure he is a good actor and what not, but it was just an opinion article (a good one at that)…and ropeofsilicon is a pretty awesome entertainment news site. but, it IS hilarious.

I suppose you mean wait until Twilight comes out? Or did you mean his other two highly anticipated films, How To Be and Little Ashes? Because if you take a poll of those here who wanted him added to the list, Twilight is not our most anticipated flick for Rob. For me, it’s Little Ashes.

As for his acting skills…he’s already proven them. Anyone not seeing his previous work doesn’t mean he has something to prove. Pick up The Bad Mother’s Handbook and The Haunted Airman, and then talk about his acting.

So…no-name indie films are good enough to gauge Joseph Gordon Levitt’s talent…but not Robert Pattinson’s? Just wondering since based on Levitt’s indie-film work, EverybodyLies01 thinks he should be the ‘next big thing.’ I’m just hoping there isn’t a double standard…

(This is based on something said in the ‘next big male movie star’ comments section…)

Oh, and…

There’s actually 10 films to his name, some for TV, some for the big screen…just like everyone to have all the facts…

Rob is God - amen to that.

Rob and the odd list of actors who made the list still have a lot to learn. The 12 year old child can hardly be called mega experienced now can he.

Forget the sarky wallpaper - What would have impressed me is if you’d managed to get hold of the Little Ashes trailer. As an entertainment site that would have made me sit up and take notice. Rob as Dali getting some man on man action in the warm waters off Spain - now thats worth watching.

Ha! Love your sense of humor! The wallpaper was a hysterical idea. We can be a bit obsessive, can’t we?

It may surprise some that not all of Rob’s fans are 14-year-old Twilight fanatics. In fact, he’s got quite a range of fans. What we all have in common is a passion for his work; and yes, most of us have seen all of it, not merely "Cedric". And if you really dig into Twilight’s Edward, you’ll find it’s a pretty complex role.

I think if you look at the choices he’s made an as actor, and more importantly those he *is* making, you will be impressed. His next non-Twilight movie is a $3 million-dollar indie, Parts Per Billion. He just won Best Actor at the Strasbourg International Film Festival for How To Be. And his fans are clamoring to see him as Dali in Little Ashes.

Do some forget that Johnny Depp started in 21 Jump Street, Leonardo DiCaprio’s big break was Titanic and Heath Ledger’s was 10 Things I Hate About You? An actor’s talent and willingness to pick roles that challenge, not merely pay well, is the true test, I believe.

So yes, we’re a bit excited. Excuse us. ;)

Hi Tycox still here? And your calling the Twilight fans freaks. That’s funny.

But it’s all good, it’s nice that Rob can get people talking, positive or negative at the end of the day it’s just another hit. More PR. It all works out. So keep it coming smart one.

I agree with the comment, about how he’s far from perfect. But a very talented guy non the less. If you’ve only seen his role on HP, it doesn’t do him justice. I’m an indie fanatic. So I’ve been fortunate enough to be able watch the other roles he’s portrayed. Something this guy has than many actors his age lack is versatility. I think the Twilight film will give him his big break, but "Little Ashes" and "How To Be" are the ones that are going to be giving him the critical acclaim. He’s young, handsome, talented and very down to earth. A little too modest. Too many "actors" are so full of themselves with zero talent to back up the hype. Fortunately Pattinson has the talent to back up the buzz and shut up the nay sayers. Some will disagree, mainly those who only stick to mainstream garbage and don’t venture out to watch indie films.

Nicely done Silverdreamz…very well said. Little Ashes is what I’m most looking forward to out of the four films we’ve yet to see Rob in…

(Those are How To Be, Little Ashes, Twilight, and The Summerhouse. The Summerhouse, though a short, will also be a good one…)

…..this is all a very one sided conversation going on here on these two forums…this was posted on the Rober Pattinson message boards…therefor it will ONLY be his FANS who come here…so then its just his fans going nuts over him and says hes awsome and the next big thing….but whos fans DONT say things like that? I think the thing to keep in mind here is that the members of this site have an objectional opinions to this whole thing and are not robert pattinson haters…people who like him like him…but to everyone saying hes the best or is THE upcomeing star…if he really WAS the best…sorry but….hed be in more, hes been in almost nothing compared to some other people. Im also guessing 90% of the people posting here r twilight fans. I mean…hell I dont like admiting it but im a Nic Cage fan, but i dont go around saying hes one of the best there is (because hes not) its just my opinion. I’d also like to add if there are enough people saying there nothing special about someone….then chances are there isnt….you gotta the the opinions of the majority not just those of fan sites/forums.

As someone rallying for people to just look Rob up if they don’t know of him, and to inform that he is a great actor and more than HP and Twilight, I totally get where you’re coming from JD. I do think, that while many fans of his are also Twilight fans, the majority of the people talking about him have mentioned his Indie films How To Be and Little Ashes…so I wouldn’t go so far as to call everyone strictly Twilight fans. The other thing I just want to mention is that, anyone coming across this article who wanted another actor spotlighted could have posted the link to the article on any site…it’s just that Rob’s fans are a bit enthusiastic and pro-active. I know I welcome other opinions, other actors, etc…but then again, I’m not saying that Rob is perfect or the best ever…just that he’s an amazing talent, someone to watch for, a reason to see Twilight and look into How To Be and Little Ashes, and indeed, on his way to being one of the next ”Big Male Movie Stars.”
