I'm not too worried about the politics of the film; I love the film Downfall, about the last days of Adolph Hitler, that doesn't make me a Nazi lover. Oliver Stone's portraits of Richard Nixon (Nixon) and George W. Bush (W.) were a bit too sympathetic; however, the films were still wonderful biopics; doesn't make me a Republican. I just hope Soderbergh and Del Toro were up to the task; I've got the sneaking suspicion that this film might end up more akin to the faux film "Meddin" that the fictional Vincent Chase makes on "Entourage." Still, I'm very hopeful. Che was one of history's most enigmatic revolutionaries; I'm just glad he's finally getting an epic film treatment, ala T.E. Lawrence or Jake LaMotta.
