'No Country For Old Men' Set for DVD and Blu-ray in March

Eight Oscar noms will get folks moving

I am sure we can expect a home video announcement for There Will be Blood soon as well as Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment announced today that No Country for Old Men will take its eight Oscar nominations and hit DVD and Blu-ray on March 11, 2008. This gives the packaging folks just enough time to change the box art should the film go on to win any (or possibly all) of the eight categories it received nominations in. What were those nominations? Well...
  • Best Picture (Drama)
  • Best Director (Joel Coen & Ethan Coen)
  • Best Adapted Screenplay (Joel Coen & Ethan Coen)
  • Best Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem)
  • Best Cinematography
  • Best Sound Mixing
  • Best Sound Editing
  • Best Film Editing
Not too bad eh? Both the DVD and the Blu-ray disc will include the following features:
  • Working with the Coens: Reflections of Cast and Crew - Learn more about Joel and Ethan Coen from the perspective of their collaborators, cast and crew.
  • The Making of No Country for Old Men - Take a journey through the Coen Brothers’ process and back to their roots as storytellers with a unique voice and vision.
  • Diary of a Country Sheriff - Explore the relationship between the compassion of Sheriff Bell and the brutality of Anton Chigurh.
Right now Amazon isn't taking pre-orders just yet, but keep your eyes on both the DVD page and the Blu-ray page for this title as it will be updated as soon as the film is available for purchase.

If you don't already, be sure to also keep your eyes out for my Tuesday home video piece telling you everything that is on DVD that week and always check out our DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray Homepage with all the latest home video information and release dates updated daily.
