Considering Nights in Rodanthe is billed as "From the author of 'The Notebook'" I think it is safe to say this probably isn't a movie for me. You see, I consider The Notebook to be one of the sappiest unrealistic love stories ever put on film. However, females tend to love it so what do I know? Just watching the trailer for Nights in Rodanthe (pronounced Ro-dan-thee, not Ro-dan-th) tells me we are in for more of the same, which means good things for the folks that don't dangle, but the rest of us are in for a mind-numbing experience.

The trailer and all the marketing it seems will also be heavily featuring Gavin Rossdale's new long "Love Remains the Same", just visiting the official site triggers the song to instant play. Looks like Gavin is lucky this film was delayed because his track wouldn't have been getting this much play otherwise.
