New Poster and Trailer for Daniel Craig's 'Defiance'

Ed Zwick takes on World War II

Earlier today Kris Tapley at InContention told me he had the exclusive look at the poster for Ed Zwick's Defiance (12/12) and now tonight ComingSoon is claiming exclusive rights to the new artwork, which is just one more example of why online picture exclusivity is 100% retarded. So, here's the deal. InContention was first, but ComingSoon's is bigger. Take that however you want, but fight among yourselves I don't have the time.

Next up is the "exclusive" new trailer premiering at Variety of which they have graciously made available the embed code so we can watch it directly below. So no fighting over rights to that one. Whew… right?

Defiance centers on three Jewish brothers (Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell and Liev Schreiber) who escape Nazi-occupied Poland and head into the forest to join Russian resistance fighters and try to save the lives of other Jews. The film is based on a true story. From what I understand Schreiber is the stand out in this crowd and is already earning early buzz even though I don't believe anyone has actually seen the flick, which means it's studio buzz and usually means something since the studios are the ones that buy campaign for the awards…

Check out the trailer below, and if you couldn't decide what site to visit to look at the poster I put that below also. Natch, but I linked to both three friggin' times… give 'em a visit won'tcha?

Definitely looks good, but why is it everytime a WW2 movie comes out, theres automatically talks about award buzz? Dont get me wrong, Im REALLY looking forward to this, Im a big WW2 buff but I really dont think it looks like a big award winner.
