New Pics and Posters from the Must See Flick, ‘Australia’

I am now anxiously awaiting this film

In preparation for Baz Luhrmann’s Australia I went ahead and watched Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge to get acquainted with the director.

I had actually not seen any of those three films and when I judged the Australia teaser trailer based on the CG aspects of it I didn’t realize Luhrmann was a director that emphasized style just as much as substance. Moulin Rouge is now one of my favorite films of all-time, that is a film that is just fantastic! On renting it from Netflix I watched it about four times, none of which were to listen to the audio commentary, I will wait until Fox goes ahead and releases it on Blu-ray for that and if they are smart they will do that soon because if any film will benefit from high-definition it is that one.

As for Australia, it stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman and is a romantic action-adventure set in northern Australia prior to World War II. The film hits theaters on November 14 and is certainly a film to watch out for in terms of Oscar consideration.
