New De Niro and Pacino Flick Get Its Gal

Gugino prepares for the 'Righteous Kill'

Carla Gugino is something of a niche little actress. I am not sure how well known she is, but you can be assured there are plenty of online folks that know exactly who she is, and if you have seen Sin City and remember Marv's nude little friend in the beginning (no, not the hooker) then you know who she is too.

Well, Carla is prepared to join Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the upcoming Jon Avnet crime drama Righteous Kill. She has been cast as the female lead, a crime-scene investigator with a dark personal life who enters into a relationship with De Niro's character.

Russell Gewirtz wrote the screenplay for the $60 million movie, and filming is set to begin by the end of August.

After having seen DeNiro in "Stardust" I will never again be able to watch him in a tough guy role. Thanks so much Matthew Vaughn.

Really? I actually liked him in Stardust, it was those s**tty Focker movies that ruined De Niro for me. However, I will always welcome him in any tough guy role hoping he can be the man he once was. Oh, and those Analyze This and That films didn't help things either.
