New Pictures, TV Spots and Music from 'Where the Wild Things Are'

If this doesn't prepare you nothing will

As most of my regular readers already know, I am not as excited about the upcoming Spike Jonze adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. However, I realize that doesn't mean the rest of you aren't chomping at the bit to see as much footage, pictures and information concerning the adventure tale as you can and what kind of person would I be to sit on my hands and not let you know when I have so much to share?

With that said, we will get started with the imeem player you see to the right, which includes 14 songs from the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack featuring music from Karen O and and The Kids.

I was first alerted to the player by JoBlo.com which reports the "kids" in the artist title refer to the following list of artists: Tristan Bechet (Services), Tom Biller (co-producer with Karen O and member of Afternoons), Bradford Cox (Deerhunter), Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs), Aaron Hemphill (Liars), Greg Kurstin (The Bird and the Bee), Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes), Oscar Michel (Gris Gris), Imaad Wasif (New Folk Implosion, Alaska), Nick Zinner, (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and an untrained children's choir.

Should you like what you hear you can buy the soundtrack at Amazon.com.

Next, as you can see from the image above and based on the headline we have new pictures from the film, 21 in fact as the gallery has now grown to 45 total images. I have re-sorted them all and there are 9 posters and 36 images, beginning with the poster art. Just click here to check 'em all out.

Finally, I have four TV spots that have just been made available and I have included all four directly below. Have a ball.

That is a lot of great talent on the soundtrack.
