My Apologies to 20th Century Fox!
I had bad information, please forgive me
Back on May 20 I wrote an article headlined "Oh No! Oh No! For the Love of God NO!" based on a new movie that showed up on ComingSoon.net's site called Disaster Movie from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. You know, the two idiots that brought us Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans.
Well, on ComingSoon's site they have the movie listed as a 20th Century Fox movie. Well, au contraire, 20th Century Fox is not to blame for continuing the careers of Friedberg and Seltzer…
Yup, as the poster for the film premiered at Cinematical I noticed a little logo on the bottom of the poster courtesy of
So, it is with all my heart that I apologize to 20th Century Fox. You seem to have wised up a bit. You are making an R-rated film with M. Night Shyamalan and you are not at fault for bringing more crap into the world… this time, but be warned I am keeping my crap meter eye on you.
Lionsgate, apparently we need to talk. Since your press site does not offer up an official synopsis for this pile of crap (yup, already decided), I made one of my own and put it on the page for Disaster Movie here on the site. It goes like this:
Disaster Movie is a film for paste eaters. If you eat paste you should go see this, if you don't then please stay home.
So, seriously, if you want the quality of the films you see to improve follow the advice above. Then again, I think there are enough paste eaters in this world that I may have actually just improved box-office numbers for this flick.
