Variety is reporting that Rawson Marshall Turber (Dodgeball) has tapped Eddie Murphy as his star for Norbit, a comedy set up at DreamWorks.

The film, in which, get this, Eddie Murphy will play multiple characters, I know original huh. Apparently Murphy will star as Norbit, a meek guy pressed into marrying a monstrous woman (also played by Murphy). When he subsequently meets the woman of his dreams, he has to figure out a way to be with her.

I think it is safe to say that this might be Eddie Murphy's dream role, not only is he getting to play several characters in the film, he is going to be marrying a woman who is really a man. Oh did I forget to mention that the original script was written by Eddie and his brother Charlie, then rewritten by Jay Scherick and David Ronn who also scribbled down Guess Who and will also be penning the bigscreen adaptation of the bosom bouncing TV show "Baywatch" for DreamWorks.
