MTV is Going 'Million Dollar Strong'

YouTube vid inspires a movie

It was bound to happen, an idea for a movie originated with a silly music video featured on YouTube and Funnyordie.com and MTV has snatched it up.

The video being referred to can be seen at the bottom of this article featuring Mike O'Connell and Ken Jeong called "What's It Gonna Be?" and this is actually the first time I had ever seen it, but it is quite funny, and a little raunchy so be careful watching it if you are at work.

The film will include both the gents in the vid and will revolve around the meteoric rise of a delusional rapper (O'Connell) and his Asian foreign exchange student friend (Jeong) as they take on the hip-hop world. There isn't a director for the project yet, but Old School helmer Todd Phillips is producing and who knows maybe the will turn to the vid director Clay Allen to helm, but that is seriously unlikely.

If Jeong looks familiar that's because he played the doctor in Knocked Up and is already filming another role in Fox's All About Steve, a film starring Sandra Bullock, Thomas Haden Church and Bradley Cooper about a film about an eccentric crossword puzzler (Bullock) who trails a CNN cameraman, whom she is convinced is her true love, all over the country, hoping to convince him that they belong together.
