Jolie will be motion captured.

Just as it was announced today that filming on Angelina Jolie's next feature, The Good Shepherd, alongside Matt Damon in the Robert De Niro directed film for Universal, word comes down that Jolie will be part of the performance-captured cast for the CGI-animated feature Beowulf.

The film is being directed by Robert Zemeckis who recently did the performance-capture thing for Polar Express. Word also comes in that the film is just about to be secured by Paramount and Warner Bros. for distribution rights.

Variety gives us the following related to Jolie's part in the story:

Jolie will play the queen of darkness, who tempts the Viking as he makes his way in the quest to become king.

The film already stars Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Brendan Gleeson and Robin Wright Penn and is based on the Old English epic poem following a Scandinavian warrior as he takes on the legendary monster, Grendel, and becomes king.
