It's been out on this side of the pond for a while and I really didn't think it would translate well in the US. This is a fabulous film which absolutely nails what life was like in Britain in the 1970s and shows how football used to be before the multimillion dollar transfer fees, corporate sponsorship and prawn sandwiches. Superb performances by Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall make this truely moving and funny film about a friendship that transcends even football.
