More Oscar Talk… 'I've Loved You So Long'

Kristin Scott Thomas is the center of this chatter

I am getting double doses of information on this one. First off the trailer find is credited to Jeff Wells over at Hollywood Elsewhere and then Kris Tapley at In Contention is hooking us up with word that Kristin Scott Thomas’s performance in the film is cause for early Oscar chatter. The international trailer featured below is for I've Loved You So Long, which is the English title for the French film titled Il y a longtemps que je t'aime from French writer/director Philippe Claudel.

The film follows Juliette (Scott Thomas), who after 15 years in prison returns to her hometown of Nancy. When she is reunited with her younger sister Lea, with whom she stays, Juliette finds herself imprisoned by another pain and secret. Meanwhile, Lea seems to lead a happy, calm and "normal" life with her husband Luc, two young daughters, many friends and an exciting job. Although siblings, Juliette and Lea are complete strangers to each other.

Just like Waltz with Bashir, which I mentioned earlier, this is another Sony Pictures Classics title that is seemingly going to go ignored until the last minute as it is set to hit theaters in NY and LA on October 24. Check out the trailer below and see if you are interested and I have also added 12 pics from the film right here.
