Michelle Monaghan is Now a 'Trucker'
A whole crew of names hit the road
A group of quality actors have added their names to the independently-financed Trucker for first time director James Mottern. Michelle Monaghan, Nathan Fillion, Benjamin Bratt, Joey Lauren Adams and Jimmy Bennett make up the cast for the drama based on Mottern's script.
In the film Monaghan plays a female truck driver who lives a careless life with no responsibility until she has to take in her estranged 11-year-old son after his father (Bratt) is hospitalized. Monaghan apparently really liked the project and attached herself before the film went out for financing, and she went so far as to get training and a license to drive a tractor-trailer.
Monaghan will also exec produce the pic with a fleet of others.who once produced the Slamdance Film Festival, has written and directed docus for BBC and other networks.
