McDonough is Latest to Raise ‘Flags’

More casting for Eastwood's next.

It seems we are going to get a new cast member announcement everyday now for Clint Eastwood’s upcoming feature Flags of Our Fathers as Neal McDonough is the latest to earn a spot.

The film centers around the Battle of Iwa Jima, which took place in the winter of 1945 and in one month, 22,000 Japanese and 26,000 Americans died, and the battle produced one of the most enduring images of WWII: a photograph of U.S. servicemen raising an American flag on the flank of Mount Suribachi, the island’s commanding high point.

McDonough joins Ryan Phillippe, Adam Beach, Jesse Bradford and Paul Walker.

The film was written by Paul Haggis and will be distributed by DreamWorks and Warner Bros. Pictures.
