Marcus Nispel Directing 'Conan' Remake
The Pathfinder finds a Barbarian

Devin Faraci at CHUD.com is reporting via an "impeccable source" that Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Pathfinder helmer Marcus Nispel has signed on to direct Conan, the remake of the 1982 fantasy adventure film that spawned the career of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Nispel is stepping in where previous directors such as Robert Rodriguez and most recently Brett Ratner stepped out allowing the production to potentially get back on track for a late summer shoot. Faraci is also quite certain an announcement is just down the pike as to who will be playing the Barbarian and it's no surprise it will most likely be an unknown actor.
Millennium and Lionsgate are still on to finance and distribute the pic, which is now looking good for a 2010 release.
Personally I thought Nispel did very well with his 2003 remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but Pathfinder was damn near unwatchable with the Friday the 13th prequel being only a minor diversion. Let's hope he has learned from his mistakes.
