I was a fan of I Am Legend and quite frankly dont mind them making a prequel. Though it will be predictable, it doesn't mean the film can't be well made or entertaining...which is what I expect it to be. As long as Willy is on board I say bring it on!

haha, I gotta give Red Dragon a shout too, I really like that movie.

As far as an I am Legend prequel...TERRIBLE idea. I dont WANT to see exactly what happened. I like the quick flashbacks the first film gives, its enough and still leaves some mystery.

Wow, a lot of Red Dragon fans out there eh? I remember not minding it on first viewing way back when, but Universal sent me the HD DVD about a year or so back and I couldn't even get through the first hour. May just be me though. :)

Come on, Red Dragon was far better than Hannibal! Probably Ratner's only good effort. Star Wars prequels did tarnish the original mystique to the first three, but they are still worth watching from time to time. TCM: The Beginning was a snoozefest. You knew everything that would happen and no one of importance would die from the get go. As far as a I am Legend prequel, very doubtful this will be very good. Granted Will Smith is amazing and a Box Office goldmine, but there is no source material for this, and we saw enough flashbacks in the original to warrant no need for a prequel. We know his wife and child die and he is left with his puppy. All we'd get is how Smith learns to live his restricted lifestyle and more crappy cgi people crawling up walls. Sadly, I'd still go see it, I 'll see anything with Smith in it.

Oh, one last thing, Temple of Doom rules! It was the worst of the first 3, but it still kicks butt all the way through, even with Willie screaming every five seconds!

I also think Red Dragon was a great movie, edward norton played his part very well and I think it brought something a little different to the table from what silence of the lambs and hannible did.

I agree for the most part except for a few. The Exorcist films were decent and Red Dragon was excellent. The one movie (besides The Family Man) that Ratner got right. Episode 3 was a good movie. No, the dialogue was not great and I will admit that Hayden Christensen is not perfect but the film itself was solid, thanks mostly to Ewan McGregor. As for Indiana Jones I could not disagree more. Temple of Doom is a fantastic thrill ride of a movie on even par with the rest of the franchise. TCCM:Beginning...one of the worst films ever made.
