‘Legend’ and ‘Vantage Point’ Trailers

Couple of interesting looks at two new flicks

After the I Am Legend teaser poster came online today we already knew the trailer would be hitting tonight and here it is. Unfortunately it doesn’t give us much of a real look at the film at all other than to tell us Will Smith as Robert Neville is the last man on Earth and he is not alone and we don’t get to see what is with him. The film is based on the Richard Matheson novel of the same name, but there are rumors that it completely abandoned what the books was about. Are they true? Who knows.

The other new trailer is for Columbia Pictures’ Vantage Point a film that was originally eyeing a late 2007 release and was expected to be vying for Oscar contention, but shortly after a “C+” review from LatinoReview the release date quickly shifted to February 15, 2008. I am not saying the two are related, but with this rather impressive teaser trailer I am wondering if the shift will remain, because it seems odd to release a trailer now for a February ‘08 film, that is where films go to die a quick death.
