Latest ‘Spirit’ Trailer has Evidence of ‘Watchmen’

They just won't stop trying...

Sorry, but I have to assume from what I have seen Lionsgate’s The Spirit is going to be a shlocky mess filled with too many jokes, a lot of style and very little substance and the fact the new trailer presents what appears to be a completely different movie from what we have seen before isn’t helping. Sorry Lionsgate, you already showed us the toilet battle and how much you want to emphasize the corny one liners, just because you took them out of this trailer doesn’t mean they aren’t still there. And as you can see from the screen cap above, it is even jacking a little bit of that visual style brought by Watchmen.

I am still hoping for the best and had this been the only trailer for The Spirit I had seen I would be extremely excited for the flick, but as it turns out I already know better. This movie looks like one of those campy 80s/90s movie that has no regard for anything realistic and is just concerned with stupid crap like hitting people with toilets for instance.

I’ll see it, but I haven’t decided whether or not I’ll see it in theatres or wait until I can download it or watch it on DVD.

When I read that this trailer for the film accually made it seem good I had my doubts that I would feel the same, since I had NO interest in seeing it from watching the previous trailers, but alas I wont lie, this trailer has made me atleast want to check the movie out.

No chance in hell will I waste money to see this in the theater. Looks absolutely god awful. And even this semi decent trailer cant change my opinion that this ones gonna be a bomb.
