I believe it was Entertainment Weekly that said Lovely Bones was going for a PG-13, so I've been expecting this for a few months now.

Here's my problem with the PG-13 rating for The Lovely Bones- one of the test screening reviews said one of the biggest flaws of the film was that it felt incredibly unbalanced and that it showed it was going for a PG-13. I'm really starting to doubt it's quality now.

I'm considerably less interested in The Lovely Bones now. Despite reading that EW interview months ago, I really thought they'd end up going for an R here. It sounds like an R-rated story, and the trailer made me think it would be R, as well as what I've heard about the book from a friend who read it. I'll just watch this one online.

On the other hand, I'm still incredibly psyched for the Herzog/Cage crazyfest that is Bad Lieutenant: POCNO

@Jimmy: A film's rating should NOT factor in its quality!
