Large Cast Commits to 'Stardust'

De Niro, Pfeiffer and more join Gaiman adaptation.

Variety is reporting that a whole fleet of names have joined Matthew Vaughn's next feature Stardust, and adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel for Paramount Pictures.

Joining the cast are Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, Charlie Cox and Sienna Miller with shooting beginning in the U.K. and Iceland next month.

Vaughn penned the script himself and it was announced back on October 26, 2005 that Vaughn was boarding the project, this was only a couple of months he dropped off the directing duties of X-Men 3 for personal reasons.

The story concerns a star-crossed youth from the English village of Wall who tries to win the heart of his true love by searching for a falling star and heading into a magical world where he must deal with a witch and a pirate.
