Kidman and Leigh Set for Dramedy

Baumbach scripted follow up to 'Squid'

Noah Baumbach has experienced wide-spread congratulations for his 2005 release The Squid and the Whale, a film I have not yet seen unfortunately, and he is ready to follow that one up with an untitled dramedy for Paramount Classics. The thing about this one is that he has already added a couple of good names to the cast in the form of Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The film was written and will be directed by Baumbach and the specifics of the story have been kept quiet, but we do know that the film will be another multigenerational story that takes place over a weekend and follows a mom and her son who visit the mom's sister. Kidman and Leigh are in talks to play the sisters, but no deals are signed yet.
