Kidman and Dench Set for Marshall's 'Nine'

I still want an actual remake...

Nicole Kidman
For anyone that read my recent Cinematic Revival installment centered on Federico Fellini's you are already aware of my thoughts on Rob Marshall's remake of the stage musical based on the film called Nine. As interested in Marshall's take on the story as I am, I still would like for an actual remake of , for my opinion on that though, click here.

As for this bit of news, it looks like Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench will be joining already cast Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and Sophia Loren in the feature, which is tentatively scheduled for a September start.

The flick revolves around a film director (Bardem) juggling the demands of several women in his life. I am not sure how close the play stuck to Fellini's story, but I am sure elements will be passed along.

Unfortunately there is no word on what two characters Kidman and Dench will be playing.
