Katherine Heigl Chooses a Kutcher Thriller as Her Next Flick

And I thought she wanted to be the next big thing...

I'm sorry, but I am not an Ashton Kutcher fan and while I am not exactly someone clamoring to see the next Katherine Heigl feature I can guarantee you she could have done much better than a Thriller with Kutcher. After all, aren't publicists trying to push her as the next big thing? Perhaps even a Julia Roberts successor?

The film is Five Killers and an even larger death toll strikes when we learn it is being housed at Lionsgate. The final strike against this feature is when we learn Robert Luketic of 21 (one of my picks for worst movie of 2008) and Monster-in-Law fame is helming the project.

Story kicks off when a woman meets the man of her dreams while on vacation. Married bliss is turned upside down when they discover their neighbors may be assassins hired to kill them.

The film is a quick reunion for Luketic and Heigl as the two recently worked together on The Ugly Truth for Columbia, which hits theaters on April 3. In that film Heigl teams with Gerard Butler for a mad-cap rom-com of sure fire hilarity and whatnot. Get more info and a real storyline on that one right here.

Five Killers begins helming next month in Atlanta and the south of France.

Hello and Goodbye Kathy, it was good knowing you. She wasn't a bad actress either.

While I’m a big fan of her TV work, my favorite Katherine Heigl piece is Knocked Up – and, according to some great EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) reviews, others loved her in that movie too – but I thought I read that she was leaving Gray’s Anatomy. Is this true?
