June 5 Release of 'Hangover' Can't Come Soon Enough

Did someone say sequel?

There has been a lot of love for the trailers for the upcoming Warner Bros. release Hangover from Old School helmer Todd Phillips and it appears WB is keen to take advantage sooner rather than later.

Variety reports Phillips and his writing partner Scot Armstrong have signed a multimillion-dollar commitment with Warner to write a sequel to the Hangover, which is set to hit theaters on June 5. The R-rated comedy stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis and teams Las Vegas with the idea of a bachelor party, a tiger, Mike Tyson, a six-month-old baby and a bout of amnesia following a serious night of drinking in which they lose the groom. At least that's what I get from the trailer to the right.

Phillips is already signed to direct the sequel and stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms will also return with production expected to begin late this year.

The move follows Paramount's recent decision to go forward with a sequel to the May 8 Star Trek reboot as the studio recently tapped writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof to get busy putting pen to paper.

For Phillips I would think this is great news as he hasn't had a film since the 2006 bust School for Scoundrels following his hot start with Old School in 2003 and Starsky & Hutch in 2004.

This movie looks amazing, but I can't help but feel it's a little like "Dude, Where's My Groom?"

I can't wait to see the movie…I love Brad Cooper. He is too cool, funny or straight lines, he can not only act any part, but he has his own special handsome look and he dosen't look like every other joe, who we get mixed up with other characters who resemble each other. When Brad Cooper laughs, moves, or gets mad..he is fun, fun, fun to watch. No one else is like him or can compare to him. Any movie that comes out with Brad starring in it, I'll be There!!! WooWoo…
