Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins Chris Nolan's 'Inception'
This guy has a bright, bright future

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is quite the interesting actor as he moved from playing the alien Tommy in TV's "3rd Rock from the Sun" into a nice little indie film career that really gained traction after 2005's Brick. His career seems to have just increased as his summer rom-com with Zooey Deschanel, 500 Days of Summer has already received a lot of good buzz and he has himself the lead villain role as the Cobra Commander in this summer's toy flick G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. So, when news of a role in Christopher Nolan's Inception hits the trades you can pretty much say things are looking up for the 28-year-old.
The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter saying Levitt will takeover the role that would have been occupied by James Franco had scheduling worked out, but Franco had to bow out for the David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) comedy Your Highness, which means Levitt's in luck.
Of course, we still know nothing about the film other than the little description saying it is a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within "the architecture of the mind."
But we do know the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Levitt's character will play an associate of Leo's. Marion Cotillard is already on board as DiCaprio's wife, Ellen Page is playing a grad student and DiCaprio's sidekick and Cillian Murphy is also in the cast.
The film is expected to begin shooting this summer for a July 16, 2010 release.
