John Cho is Sulu in ‘Star Trek’

Just give us Kirk already!

John Cho

The Hollywood Reporter now has a second name to add to the Star Trek cast as John Cho of Harold and Kumar and American Pie is set to play Sulu, which quite possibly could be the hardest role to pull off, even harder than that of Kirk.

Sulu is the Enterprise’s helmsman played memorably by George Takei. Apparently, on top of Kirk and McCoy, they have yet to cast Christopher Pike, the first captain of the Enterprise, and Kirk’s parents.

Only minutes ago we learned that Simon Pegg has joined the cast as Enterprise engineer Montgomery Scott, for more on that click here.

Filming begins in November and continues until March with a Christmas Day 2008 release in the plans.
