It's Rally Time in a New Clip from 'Milk'

I cannot wait to see this movie!

Focus Features just sent over a new clip from the upcoming film Milk. Strangely enough this clip comes just after Barack Obama is the first ever elected African American and on the same day Proposition 8 passed in California, an anti-gay-marriage measure. Can you believe that? Where do people get off worrying about something that doesn't effect them whatsoever?

Kris Tapley at In Contention wrote up an interesting article today asking if Milk, a film about the first openly gay man elected into major public office in America, had been released before the election would it be possible Prop 8 would not have passed? It's an interesting question and just goes to show that while America may have taken a step forward in electing Barack Obama, we have also taken a step back by now taking rights away. Appalling if you ask me.

You can give the clip a watch just below and get more information on Milk, which stars Sean Penn, James Franco, Emile Hirsch and Josh Brolin right here. Milk hits theaters on November 26.

Taking rights away? You mean the decision taken out of the hands of voters by the CA high court which the voters have taken back?

Interesting that 7 out of 10 black voters voted for the proposition.

He's got a point. If gays get married my marriage will be ruined!

Oh no, wait. I still love my wife. Whew. Close one.

Among the things I believe in are Democracy. And that the will of the people should not be overturned by lawyers (previously) or judges (coming soon).

Maybe Conservatives should get a lawsuit going to overturn Obama being elected President.
