'High School Musical 3' Goes 'Mamma Mia!' Sing-Song Route
Sing with me won't you!?!? Yay!!!

I went and saw Milk this afternoon and the screen I was seeing it on was a designated screen for showings of High School Musical 3 for the rest of the day. I joked with the publicist as she directed me toward "Theater 2" and said, "This better not be High School Musical," she told me not to worry. However, just because I don't want to ever see the third installment in the TV born franchise doesn't mean other people don't. Actually, I am pretty sure a lot of people want to see it as it is the biggest opening for a musical ever, and now Disney is inviting moviegoers the chance to see it again as they take a page out of Universal's Mamma Mia! marketing.
On November 7, Disney will release a sing-a-long version of High School Musical 3 in 125 theaters nationwide. Universal's Mamma Mia! did the same thing on August 29 and has already made over $143 million here in the States and is about to become the UK's #1 grossing film of all-time.
HSM3 has won the box-office weekend for two weeks straight since it's October 24 release and has brought in over $65 million on a budget of only $11 million. While it probably won't reach Mamma Mia!'s box-office tally, but Disney would be insane to abandon this franchise even though this was the "Senior Year" edition.
If you live in the Seattle area I know HSM3 will be at the South Center 16, but as for the rest of the nation you will have to visit the official site to see where else it will be playing.
