Henriksen Talks ALIEN VS. PREDATOR

Lance Henriksen talked to SCI-FI Wire about being cast in the upcoming movie geek's wet dream, ALIEN VS. PREDATOR.

Lance Henriksen talked to SCI-FI Wire about being cast in the upcoming movie geek's wet dream, Alien vs. Predator, and said that the role of Charles Bishop Weyland was written by writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson specifically for him, "I was the first one cast in the movie," Henriksen said in an interview on the set in Prague. "Paul was gracious enough to literally, for two hours, tell me every scene in the movie. And I was stunned, because he has this incredible enthusiasm for what he's doing and what his vision is that he had the energy to do that. So I was really welcomed."

The article also goes on to say that the movie will be a prequel of sorts to the first four Alien films. Henriksen said, "It's like going through the looking glass backwards here, because now we're going back in time to before Aliens, before Alien even. The way [Anderson has] structured this script, there's such logic to it all, such sense, because we know those movies before, and we're not denying you know them, so when you see this movie you're going to see something completely different, but it's got those genres in it."

There is even more to the story, but I don't want to steal it all so click here to get the rest. Alien vs. Predator is set for a Aug. 6, 2004 release.
