Heigl Puts on '27 Dresses'
New comedy for 'Grey's' actress
Katherine Heigl and her cohorts over at "Grey's Anatomy" are continuing to get bad press with how they can't get along and all the gay bashing goodness, but that isn't stopping from Miss Heigl from scoring herself a lead role in 27 Dresses for Spyglass.
The pic was scripted by Aline Brosh McKenna and will be directed by Anne Fletcher. Heigl will play a single woman who has served as a bridesmaid 27 times. She is enlisted once again for the job, and this time it's particularly painful: Her sister is marrying the man the bridesmaid is madly in love with.
Production begins in New York and Rhode Island in May when Heigl goes on hiatus from the series.
