‘Harry Potter’ Mini Movie Coming to Universal Studios Orlando

I wonder if the Potter world will ever end...

I have no idea if the brand-new Harry Potter story which is being turned into a mini-movie for the new 20-acre park being built as extension to Universal Studios Islands Of Adventure in Orlando is from the new Harry Potter prequel J.K. Rowling penned and then auctioned off (read it here), but according to the Sunday Mirror something is going down.

Word is that all the regulars, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are shooting the movie at Leavesden, Herts, before starting the final, two-part features based on “The Deathly Hallows.” The next film to hit theaters will be Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on November 21, 2008.

The Mirror’s source also says, “They are also working on extra sequences and clips which will be part of the rides. J.K. Rowling has been involved in everything. She wrote the story.”

This will all supposedly be part of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” announced last May. The fully immersive, themed land will enable guests to visit some of the most iconic locations found in the books and the films including the village of Hogsmeade, the mysterious Forbidden Forest, and even Hogwarts castle itself.

The original release said the park was supposed to open late 2009, but the Mirror’s story says it looks more like 2010. I have up a few pieces of art from the press release right here, but it is nothing new for those that have seen it before.

And, again, if you want to read that Harry Potter prequel story that was bought for 25,000 pounds ($48,855) click here.
