I don't know about you, but I consider Snatch to be one of my favorite films of all time and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels isn't all that shabby either. However, ever since Guy Ritchie got all hooked up with Madonna he seems to have lost his touch. Ritchie wrote and directed both Snatch and Lock, Stock and is now returning to the unique gangster dramas we love him for with RocknRolla, a film he wrote and will also direct for Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment.

The only thing that sucks about this news is that there is no word on storyline out of The Hollywood Reporter as they only say "is in the same vein as the filmmaker's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch movies: ensemble British gangsters flicks." Yeah, it's good news, but I want more!

Casting is already underway and they are expected to start shooting this summer.

Ritchie last directed Revolver, which never saw much of a US release and is yet to hit DVD.
