According to The Hollywood Reporter Danny Glover will be joining Bill Condon's musical Dreamgirls, which will have him joining a cast that includes Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Usher Raymond and Eddie Murphy.

The film is based on the stage musical of the same name and follows the rise of a female singing group called the Dreamettes of which Knowles will be one of the group members and Foxx will be the Svengali-like manager Curtis Taylor Jr. Eddie Murphy has been cast as the womanizing R&B star James "Thunder" Early with Glover playing Early's manager, Marty Madison.
