Not a lot has been said about the Coco Chanel biopic Coco Before Chanel which stars Audrey Tautou in the title role, but the picture hits French theaters on April 22 and is expected to be released by Warner Bros. later this year and is certainly a film I overlooked and one to consider when talking about the end of year award race. Now an international trailer has made its way online thanks to Sortie-Cine.fr and is available directly below.
Anne Fontaine is directing from a script she co-wrote and the film will focus on Chanel's childhood and early womanhood, which apparently was specially conceived with Tautou in mind. The script was adapted from the Chanel biography "L'Irreguliere" by Edmonde Charles-Roux.
Check out the trailer directly below and stay tuned as I am sure more on this title will begin to surface shortly.

It looks good!
I like that it's in French and they haven't tried to make it completely Hollywood.
