There is no way to tell, yet, if this is good casting or not. I recognize Martin Freeman as the funny little guy from BBC's "The Office", Love Actually and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but apparently director Peter Greenway sees him as the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn.

Freeman is set to star as Rembrandt in Nightwatching, which is set to begin shooting next month.

The film will focus on the creation of "The Nightwatch," one of Rembrandt's most famous paintings, and the effect it had on his private life. The women in his life will be played by Sarah Polley (Saskia) and Minnie Driver (Geertje).

A decent cast is in place so this may be one to watch out for.
