Fox Feeling 'Max Payne'

Another video game adaptation set to go.

Video games to movies is no longer a unique idea as studios are turning to the idea more and more often as of late and now 20th Century Fox is ready for one more as producer Scott Faye of Collision Entertainment has teamed up with Firm Films head Julie Yorn to turn "Max Payne," the action video game franchise, into a feature film for 20th Century Fox.

The story of the game follows a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime.

The Hollywood Reporter goes on to say that the game's intricate film noir story, which involves government cover-ups, the Mafia and a city crippled by the century's worst blizzard, is told through comic book-style storyboards.
