A few looks at Jolie as Mariane Pearl
I recently saw Angelina Jolie's new film A Mighty Heart and I can't quite agree with the glowing review Variety gave it I will say that it is well acted, very well in fact on the parts of Jolie, Dan Futterman as the kidnapped Danny Pearl and I really thought Archie Panjabi did very well as Mariane's friend Asra even though Irrfan Khan seems to be getting most of the praise out of Cannes.
The film follows the story of kidnapped and ultimately murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl from the perspective of his wife Mariane (Jolie). If you know anything about this story you can be thankful that the movie is done tastefully, I can only suggest you don't try to do any Google research on your own as it gets quite gruesome as this is the beheading video that surfaced all over the Internet back in 2002.
