Following INSTINCT

Basic Instinct 2 looks like it will be greenlit soon...

Sharon Stone may be washed up but she has managed to put together quite a few films to her name as of late, one of them is the follow-up sequel to her 1992 hit Basic Instinct, which is certainly the role she is most recognized for, and it seems she may be coming closer to crossing those legs again as international interest seems to be heating up.

The budget on the film is expected to be near $70 million, but without a male lead as of yet a start date is still in the air. "The great interest from international distribution partners in this project has made us extremely confident of the film's success," said International media finance chief Andreas Konle.

Stone is currently set to star in Gold Circle Films' Cougars and in Nick Cassavetes' Alpha Dog, which New Line will distribute.
