First Look: Brand New ‘Burn After Reading’ Pictures

What are those crazy Coens up to now?

Recently four photos surfaced online from the Coen brothers’ upcoming film Burn After Reading. Well, RopeofSilicon has been supplied with two new pics on top of the previous ones that (to my knowledge) have not been featured anywhere online.

The film stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and John Malkovich as the Coens seem to be returning to their Fargo-style days with a dark spy-comedy centered on an ousted CIA official’s (John Malkovich) memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees (Pitt and McDormand) intent on exploiting their find.

Simply based on the pics of Pitt so far I am starting to think we may have the makings of another classic Pitt character, a la Mickey in Snatch and Jeffrey Goines in 12 Monkeys.

My only guess is that one of our new pics (the one teased to the right) is the moment of revelation when said gym employees realize what they have stumbled on. Check out our gallery of seven pics right here and look for the film to headline the Venice Film Festival on August 27 before it hits theaters on September 12.
